Bill Nye

On June 17th 2009 our class watch bill Nye the science guy. We watch two videos of our heart and our breathing. Did you know that your heart will beat 2 million times? That is a lot. When you breathe your air that you take in goes to your muscles. Did you know that the mucous in you nose and mouth traps the dirt so it doesn’t get into your lungs? In your body there are 25 trillion red blood cells and 25 billion white blood cells. Your blood brings nutrients to all your cells in your body. Those are some facts I learned!

Science Center
On June 8th our class went to the science center in Regina. We left at 9:00 a clock in the morning. When we got there we got in our groups and scattered all around. In my group there was Desiree, Bailie, Noah and Brayden. I saw lots of stuff like a thing that makes a big bubble and you are in it. A hot air balloon that you pres a button and it makes hot air that makes the balloon go up to the top. We had lunch down stairs in a little place but not in a room. After till 2:00 we watch a movie called lions roar. It was funny and a good movie to watch. After it was down we went outside and played on the jungle gym till the bus came. Then we went back to Moose Jaw.

Pictures
On Thursday we went out to the park across the street by Lindale with the grade 5’s in Miss Olson’s class. We had lots of fun and it was funny. After we went to the computer lab and put our pictures on the computers. It was lots of fun and we had lots of time to take pictures. At the end some people went into a tree and toke pictures. That was our day!

Bulling
I am in the bulling awareness comity at Lindale School. We have to go to class rooms and make a play or something to show them not to bully. Brayden, Brendon, Jazzmen and I are in a group. We have the grade 2s. We are going on the 26th of May. It is going to be very fun.

My sister
April 30 my big sister Candace had a baby. It is a boy and his name is Jace Kyle Kulman. We have been sick so we have not went their for a long time. She lives in Regina and she has put pictures on the internet and he is so cute. He is only a week old. She had to get a sea section because he was so big. He is 20 inch long and 9 pounds and 3 ounces. He is a big and chubby baby!

Mae Wilson
Today we went to the Mae Wilson Theater to have a tour of the theater. What I thought of it was it was very funny because of Mickey. We had mini test of the stuff they said and won prizes. Why I liked it was because it was very good and interesting. It was a good experience to us for our brains to think for a little while. My favorite part was when we first got there when we met Mickey. My second favorite part was when we went on stage and saw what the actors see. How comedy and acting help people learn is by be funny that it will still be in your head. Another reason is because the acting is by saying stuff that is good to learn. Some stuff I learned was in two thousand and four Mae Wilson’s son Larry Wilson donated 300 Million dollars to the theater and name it after his mom. Another one is the theater had four names before it was named Mae Wilson. They are Capital 3.

Earth day!
On wed. we had earth day and it was fun. We had to go outside and picked up garbage. We went out around the school yard and cleaned up there too. Why we did this is because we want to protect the earth from garbage!

Afghanistan
About a 2 weeks ago we had Mr. park come from Chaplin to talk about going to Afghanistan. We read a book and it was about it and we were interested about it. He told us a lot and it was a good presentation. He is a volunteer soldier if they need him they will go. He works as a teacher in Chaplin and he said that we were a good class and he would love to come back!

Easter Break
On the Easter break I am going to see my sister in Regina before she has her baby. In two weeks she is due. I will be working with my 4-H calves and trying to get them broke for achievement day in June. I will be at home most of the day because we have to calve out like 20 more heifers of my dad’s boss’s cows. My grandma will be coming down for Easter and I will go to my aunt’s and play with my cousins! This is my Easter Break!!!!!!!!!!!

Number One Star
In our classroom we do this thing called number one star. Miss Johnson picks a person in the class and we write good things about them. We do it every week and we read them out after a few days. Then we change it to a new person. Every one has to be the #1 star. I was it and lots of people said that I was a good friend. We have to write 3 good, nice things that they are to us. This week Chevy Duncan is the # one star. Most of the people already put theirs up. It is lots of fun and other people should do it to!

The Weekend
On the long weekend I think we are going to see my big sister in Regina. Candace is having a baby in a month and I am really excited! We will be calving so we will be very busy. Our 4-H calves are not broke yet so that will take a long time. Most of the time I will be a couch potato watching TV all day!

A Good Writer
If you want to be a good writer then listen to this it will help you a lot. First you need to have a topic and a good grabber lead that will get the readers attention. They will want to read on. Put lots of exploding detail in it so the reader has a picture in their head. After a few days then you can revise it then you could type it out. Print it off and you revise it again. Then you now how to be a writer!

Science
We had a science class and we learned about resources. Some of the Natural resources are natural gas, coal, gold, and lots more. We have to help keep our environment healthy and not to use all of the non-renewable resource because they will run out. If we stay in the shower to long we could use all the water up and have no more. I can help the world by not littering and reuse some paper.

We did a stomp play and it was really fun. We picked groups and I was in Carley, Jenna, and Des's group. It was very fun and cool I would like to reconmend it to other people and classes. If we did it again Iwould go in different groups.

Signs of Spring
In the spring the calves are born. They discover the pastures like they have never before. They buck and kick and chase each other from one end to the other. The snow is gone and the sun has come out. Shorts and t-shirts with flip flops and laying on the ground with the sun beating on you. You don’t ever want to come inside. Put away your winter boots and pull out your summer clothes.
This is the way I spend my spring!!!

Social Plays
We had social and we did a play. We were put in groups and in my group I had Emily, Dayne, Michael, Kate, Noah, and Brendon. I was not there but we had lots of fun preparing for the actual thing. We did our best trying not to goof off. But it was very good and educational for us. I learned a lot of stuff performing.

Lindale School!
I like Lindale because it is a good school. I have a lot of friends. Some of them are Bailie, Emily, Jenna, Carley, and lots more. The teachers are the best. My teacher Mrs. Johnson is a very good teacher. I have lots of fun and so many good friends. It is the best here, it would be great to stay here until grade 12!
